Virginia E. Mitchell, 69, of Bridgton, died on Friday, May 25, 2012 at Bridgton Health Care Center.

She was born in Fayette on May 4, 1943, the daughter of Donald and Shirley Seaman Grover. She attended schools in Bridgton and had been employed at Paris-Glading Co. in South Paris and at the shoe shop in Bridgton.

Virginia was a member of the Norway Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, going for walks and was an avid beano player.

Survivors include sons, Robert and Troy, both of Bridgton; a daughter, Rhonda Mitchell of Gorham; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild; a sister, Linda Thompson of Harrison; two brothers, Donald Grover of Conway, N.H., and David Grover of Bridgton; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may attend funeral services on Thursday, May 31, at 1 p.m. at the Norway Baptist Church, Cottage Street, Norway. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Annex Cemetery, Bridgton.
