Timothy Even

STONEHAM — Timothy Michael Even, 28, of Stoneham, died on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017.

Most recently, Timothy was Coach of the Year for the Southern Maine Athletic Association in 2014, 2015 and 2016 for Westbrook High School. He was an employee of Camp Susan Curtis for 14 years, the last seven serving as the assistant director.

Timothy was a 2008 graduate of Fryeburg Academy and a 2015 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Music Education. While attending USM, he was the Little East Track Rookie of the Year in 2009 and Little East Conference Track Athlete of the Year in 2012, with an appearance at the NCAA Division III National Championship in the 1500-meter run.

Timothy was most fulfilled impacting the lives of thousands of Maine youth through running, coaching and music. A prolific athlete and a talented musician, Timothy was a compassionate and dedicated coach, teacher and counselor; especially to those who needed someone to believe in them and guide them through their most challenging moments. Timothy’s infectious grin and wicked sense of humor endeared him to everyone, whether in a classroom, on the track, or at camp. He was a wonderful photographer, capturing the natural scenery and wildlife of Maine in spectacular pictures.

Timothy is survived by his mother, Bernadette and the Even family: Jonah, Rebecca Queen, Melissa Even-Moore and Johanna; the Moore family of California: Shawn, Tanea, Adrian Sr., Adrian Jr., Quivon, Vincent and Sharece Holloway; and all of his nieces and nephews.

Timothy was predeceased by his father, John.
