Timothy M. Durant

NAPLES — Timothy Michael Durant, “Timmy,” 47, of Naples, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born on April 8, 1966, in Portland, the son of James “Jimmy” and Jackie (Belanger) Durant. Timmy grew up locally, graduating from Windham High School in 1984.

Timmy owned his own business, Durant Flooring since 1993. He had many interests and joys throughout his life. His greatest loves were his family and his many, many friends. Timmy also loved anything outdoors, including riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, four-wheelers, boating and camping. He also loved cars and rebuilt a Mustang with his father. Looking so much like his dad, he was known as a Mini-Jimmy. One of the things he will always be remembered for is his famous “Zima Dance.” Timmy was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Timmy was predeceased by his grandparents on both sides.

He is survived by his parents; his fiancée and love of his life, Laurie Hodge; his daughter Britta Durant; son Brendan Durant; his sisters, Carrie Daggett, Lisa Turner and Lori Hayman; his nieces and nephews; his great-nephew and great-niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 919 Roosevelt Trail, Windham on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at 11 a.m. To offer words of condolence and share memories with the family, please go to www.athutchins.com
