Terry L. Anderson, 66

WEST BALDWIN — Terry Lee Anderson, 66, of West Baldwin, formerly of Westbrook, passed peacefully in his sleep at home on Nov. 7, 2013.

Terry was born and raised in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1965 at which time he joined the U.S. Navy and was proud and honored to serve his country as a sailor upon the USS Enterprise. Following this service, Terry came home to work for Weyerhaeuser Co. and Southern Container Co. for the next 32 years.

Terry was his happiest when out in nature fishing, boating, hiking, hunting, canoeing and riding his motorcycle. He lived his last 10 years in West Baldwin, where he loved puttering around the house, doting on his cats, and socializing with the local townspeople and merchants.

Terry retired from working at the age of 59 after a short employment with Steep Falls Building Supply in Standish. He will be remembered for his quick wit and terrific sense of humor. He made everyone smile.

Terry was always giving of himself and the best husband, son, father, brother and friend that anyone could hope to have.

Terry will be sadly missed by his wife of 30 years, Laurie Pease Jacques of West Baldwin; and his mother, Thelma Anderson of Westbrook. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Tiffany Parent of Cornish, Kimberly Jacques of Brownfield and Henry Jacques of Westbrook; his sister, Crystal Shute of Queen Creek, Ariz.; brother Gary Anderson of Westbrook; an uncle and aunt; five adoring grandchildren; and several loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a celebration of Terry’s life this coming spring with announcement forthcoming. At that time, his remains will be spread upon the ocean per his wishes.

Terry will forever be in our hearts. Terry was very much a patriot and donated often to the Disabled American Veterans. It would be greatly appreciated if any condolence offerings may be made as charitable contributions to your favorite veterans’ fund.
