Tacy F. Hartley, 74

WINDHAM — Tacy F. Hartley, 74, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015.

She was born in Lakewood, Ohio, on June 21, 1941, the daughter of James F. Hartley and Carol K. Hartley, and lived most of her life in Raymond. She was educated in the Raymond schools, North Yarmouth Academy, Westbrook Junior College and the University of Maine. She graduated with a master’s degree in education. She taught special education in Maine, Florida and Rhode Island because of her love of teaching, and before retiring in 2012, she continued to substitute teach in the local school systems, retiring in the spring of 2015.

Tacy was deep-rooted in the community, especially with her friends and family. Her dedication to the Scribner’s Mills organization was driven by her love of history and the need of educating the public of its past.

She leaves her son, William Hartley; her daughters Caroline Spring and Brittany Spring of Michigan; her sister, Louise Lester.

A graveside Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 1 p.m. at the Raymond Village Cemetery, Mill Street in Raymond. Online condolences may be left for the family at: hallfuneralhomeinc.com
