Suzanne M. L’Heureux

DENMARK — Suzanne M. L’Heureux, 61, formerly of Biddeford, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born on Sept. 9, 1949, in Portland, the daughter of James Henry and Gilberte Arlene (Labbe) Murphy Sr. Suzanne was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated in 1968 from Biddeford High School. She then attended vocational school at Andover College.

On April 19, 1975, she married Leo E. L’Heureux in Old Orchard Beach.

Mrs. L’Heureux worked 16 years at Maremont Corp. in Saco and then six years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Portland, retiring in 2000.

She was a member of St. Philip’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Lyman and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.
Surviving are her husband, Leo L’Heureux of Denmark; two sons, Eric Paul L’Heureux of Indiana and Christopher L’Heureux of Dayton; a daughter, Malissa Gagnon of North Waterboro; four grandchildren; and a brother, James Murphy of Biddeford.
Visiting hours were on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Hope Memorial Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, Sept. 5, 2011, at St. Philip’s Church of the Good Shepherd Parish in Lyman. Burial will be at a later date.
