CASCO — Susan Edith Tucker London, 71, of Casco, died peacefully at home on Sunday, March 15, 2015, after a brief struggle with cancer.

Susan, affectionately known as “Sue,” was born July 16, 1943, in Millinocket, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Tucker. She graduated from Portland High School in 1961 after moving to Portland from Millinocket at 9 years old. In 1962, Sue married the love of her life, Michael H. London, and set upon a journey around the globe during Michael's military career, later settling back in Maine, where she has lived for the last 35 years.

Sue had a profound love, which she passed along to her family, pets, and friends she has made through her life. She loved gardening, knitting, and sewing among so many other things. She was always creating new things and nurturing life.

Susan is survived by her husband Michael London of Casco; daughter Katherine Denning London of Bridgton; son Joseph M. London of Casco; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and close friends.

Visiting hours were held from 4 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, March 18, at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Rd., Casco. A chapel service will be held at noon on Thursday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta. Online condolences may be left for the family at hallfuneralhomeinc.com.
