Stanley K. Thompson, 83, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Bridgton Health Care Center.

Stanley was born on March 15, 1931, in Portland, to Stanley T. and Charlotte Kerr Thompson.

He served in the Army in the Korean War. He was a member of VFW, Odd Fellows, Presumpscot Lodge of Masons, and Bridgton Fire Department. He retired from W.A. Messer after many years of work.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Stanley was predeceased by his parents; his wife Gloria; and his sister Barbara.

He is survived by his son, William of Dover Foxcroft; his daughter, Jennie Freeman of California; his granddaughter and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Harmon and Lorraine Jones; and brother, Benjamin Thompson.

There will be no services. Arrangements are by the Dolby Funeral Chapel.
