Sherrill Douglass

SEBAGO — Sherrill A. Douglass Sr., 83, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.

He was born in Sebago on Feb. 8, 1934, a child of the late Albion and Gertrude (Durrell) Douglass.

After attending Sebago schools and graduating from Potter Academy, Sherrill went on to work many different jobs over the years; however, carpentry was the trade he truly loved.

Sherrill was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and gardening.

He was a longtime member of the Sebago Church of the Nazarene.

He is predeceased by an infant, who passed away at seven-weeks-old, Garth Douglass; and a sister, Loann Douglass.

Sherrill is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia (Smith) Douglass; a son, Sherrill Douglass Jr. of California; a stepdaughter, Nora Caruso of Massachusetts; a sister, Jean Garland of Sebago; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Sebago Church of the Nazarene, Route 114 in Sebago.
