FRYEBURG — Sharon Knox, 77, of Fryeburg, died peacefully at home with her family at her side, after a brief illness.

She was born in Chatham, New Hampshire, to Cora H. Thurston and Clifford Emerson.

Sharon was a people person and enjoyed working at the Yankee Clipper and Webster's Store, and volunteering at the Chatham Public Library. She enjoyed being with her family and spending time with her very best friend Eunice. Her hobbies were gardening, cooking, painting, crafting, reading, her pets, moose and watching the birds, especially the cardinals that visited the feeders. She was a lady, and will be sadly missed and best remembered for her "Howard" sense of humor.

She will be missed by her children, Deborah Emerson and companion Stan LeCours of Portland, Kathleen Fuller and her husband Jim of Florida, Ellen Demers and companion Jim Perry of Hiram, Jeffrey Knox and companion Cheryl Irish of Fryeburg, and Theresa Knox of Fryeburg; seven grandchildren, Justin and Jason Wissick, Crystal and Nicholas Rogers, Mathew Osgood, Khirin Heath, and Israel Demers and wife Christy; three great-grandchildren Kallissa, Payton and Logan.
