VENICE, FLA. — Sharon Bundy, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2015, in Venice, Fla., with her husband Dean and daughters Holly, Kelly and Tara by her side.

She was born Jan. 14, 1943, in Conway, N.H., the daughter of the late Stanley Oliver Douglass and Lillian Douglass. She attended schools in Sanford. She met and married the love of her life, Dean Bundy, on Dec. 21, 1960. They raised four beautiful children, Holly, Kelly, Tara and Dean.

Sharon was employed by Fairchild in South Portland for three years. She worked for Lake Region High School for several years before purchasing the Stagecoach Restaurant with her husband in 1979. Sharon was famous for her home-style cooking, pies and desserts.

After retiring from the restaurant, she enjoyed traveling and spending time playing games with friends and family. In 1996, Sharon and Dean wintered in Bradenton, Fla., and later moved to North Port, Fla. She enjoyed pottery, painting, crocheting and spending time on her computer, staying in touch with family and friends through e-mail and Facebook.

She set an example for everyone who knew her of the importance of family, and each year remembered to send a homemade birthday card to every single member of her family and another special card at Christmas to friends and family. She was a wonderful wife, mother and Mimi.

She was an amazing woman who lived her life to the fullest. She remained brave throughout her illness, never complaining.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years; three daughters, Holly and her husband Nathan Chase, Kelly and her husband Edward Kaeser, Tara and her husband Steven Russo, and Dean Bundy and his fiancée Angel Curley; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Paul Prouty of Florida, and Linwood Douglass of Las Vegas, Nev.

A family celebration of her life will be held in October.
