Samantha E. Watson, 27

SEBAGO — Samantha Elizabeth Watson, 27, of Sebago, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014, from massive brain trauma after she fell from a third-story window in an apartment in Lewiston.

Samantha was born in 1986 in Portland, to Carol and Thomas Watson of Sebago. She attended Lake Region High School and graduated from the Lake Region Learning Center. She also took classes at Kennebec Valley Community College.

She spent many years painting with her sister, Melissa, and Denmark House Painting and went on to work in the adult and child rehabilitation field. Her most recent occupation was cashier at the South Paris Big Apple. She was very loved by the customers and employees there and was always going out of her way to make someone's day better.

She resided in South Paris with her sisters, Melissa and Casey, her niece Nikki and nephews, Jesse, Mike and Noah.

Samantha loved reading and was an amazing artist and musician. She wrote her own music and loved playing her guitar and singing for her youngest nieces and nephews, Kenzie, Thomas, Willow, Ashton and Sky. She was a witty and funny person who loved being silly and laughing with friends and family.

She is survived by her mother, Carol Sawyer; father, Thomas Watson; grandmother Betty Sawyer; grandfather Phillip Sawyer, grandmother Beverly Sawyer; four sisters, Casey Tanner, Melissa Watson, Cheryle Ridlon and Kim Barrett; 12 nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service was held on Saturday, April 5, at the Sebago Center Community Church in Sebago. A reception followed at the Sebago Town Hall with refreshments, a photo slide show and time shared of favorite memories. A benefit pancake breakfast was held April 6 by the Sebago Lions Club to help raise money for Sam’s services.
