CUMBERLAND FORESIDE — Rowena Haggett Johnson, 93, of Bridgton, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Ledgeview Assisted Living in Cumberland Foreside.

She was born in Lynn, Mass., on June 27, 1920, the daughter of Russell and Christina Haggett. She attended Bridgton schools, graduating from Bridgton High School.

Rowena married Wesley Johnson on May 13, 1953. She worked many years for Central Maine Power Co. in Bridgton. After she retired she enjoyed gardening, reading, knitting and homemaking. She also had a great love for all the dogs and cats she had in her life. She and Wes enjoyed their home on Long Lake and in Fla., and more recently her home on Sweden Road. She was predeceased by her husband Wesley in 2007.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Terry Eichles, Ken Eichles, Janet Underwood, Judy Genesio, Jackie Shur, Nona Bauer, Steve Haggett, Eric Marston and Greg Marston.
