PEAKS ISLAND — Robyn Paige Callow, 53, of Peaks Island, passed away peacefully in St. Augustine, Fla., from sudden cardiac death on April 26, 2015.

Robyn was born on Nov. 12, 1961, in South Weymouth, Mass., to Richard and Martha Callow.

On Jan. 1 1970, the family moved to Peaks Island, where Robyn grew up attending Brackett Memorial Church, Peaks Island Schools, and graduating from Portland High School in 1979. Robyn also attended the University of Southern Maine in Portland.

Robyn was a savvy businesswoman and landlord, maintaining her apartment buildings in Portland. After a visit to St. Augustine, Fla., when she was 17, Robyn dreamed about living there when she was older. She fulfilled that dream and recently became a “snow bird,” living both in Maine and Florida. Robyn’s love for traveling included trips to Maui, The Netherlands, Singapore, Portugal and Madeira, among others.

Robyn surrounded herself with her animals. She will be especially missed by her dogs, Ephraim and Jacobi, and several cats. Her animals meant the world to her, as did her family.

Robyn was predeceased by her beloved brother, Steven in 2012.

She is survived by her parents, Richard and Martha Callow; brothers Richard Callow Jr. of Peaks Island, Michael Callow of South Portland, Samuel Callow of Peaks Island, Christopher Callow of Portland and Ernest Callow of Raymond; sisters Patricia Bernheim of China, Pamela Wood of Clearwater, Fla. and Jennifer Feeney of Scarborough; aunts, uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews; and many good friends.

A celebration of her life will be announced in the future.
