Robert Hunt

DENMARK – Robert L. Hunt, 87, died on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Bridgton Health Care Center.

He was born in Cumberland on August 11, 1930, the son of Philip and Thelma (Watson) Hunt.

Bob graduated from Windham High School in 1949 and earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Gorham State Teachers College. In addition to his 30-year career as a biology teacher at Windham, he was “Uncle Bob,” Ranger Naturalist at Sebago Lake State Park for many years. Bob was a member of Presumpscot Lodge #70 A.F. & A.M., a Master Mason, Past Patron of Evangeline Chapter #167, Order of the Eastern Star, and proud member of the Kora Shrine.

Bob is survived by his children, Ron Hunt, Barb Maurais, Scott Hunt, Susan Richardson, and Ella Cressy; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; his sister Maryann Greenlaw; nephew Jon Greenlaw; niece Mary Greenlaw, and longtime friends Gene and Polly Aube. In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his wife Betty in 2010.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., on Sunday, July 15, at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais, & Segee, 434 River Rd., Windham, with a Memorial and Masonic Service immediately following at 3 p.m.
