Robert J. Champagne, 74, of Bridgton, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

He was born February 20, 1946, in Saco, a son of the late Lee and Bertha (Lambert) Champagne. He was the husband of Marjy (Harmon) Champagne.

Robert served in the United States Coast Guard for six years.

Robert ran his own painting business in the Bridgton area for years. In his time painting, he had painted anything from a submarine, to houses to furniture. His proudest accomplishment was teaching painting to Veterans for the VNCV in Bridgton and produced 13 paint contractors.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lee Champagne and Bertha Caldwell; and his infant daughter, Mary Champagne.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Marjy Champagne; his daughter, Lisa Hill and her husband Craig; his two granddaughters, Cassandra and Merrissa Hill; an uncle, Norman Champagne; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be a graveside service that will take place in at the Forest Hill Cemetery at a later date.
