Richard worked for the State of Maine Department of Transportation for 26 years and enjoyed six wonderful years as a host at the Sebago Lake State Park. Richard is survived by his wife, Jeannie Smith; brother, Ted Burtsell; sisters, Cindy Coffin, Dorothy Edmonds and Claudia Gordon; his sons, Richard Burtsell Jr., Tyler Burtsell and James Smith; daughters, Patricia Smith and Tina Ruhland.
