Rhonda Cossar

NAPLES — Rhonda Cossar, 56, of Naples, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Augusta to Percy and Marilyn Cossar. After completing high school, she received her degree in medical assisting, after which she spent over 30 years doing what she loved best, caring for others.

She had a great love of nature and animals, and leaves behind her two adored cats. She enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, watching Boston sports, spending time with family and friends, and traveled frequently to Maryland to visit her dearest friends. She will be remembered best for her free spirit and sense of humor.

She is survived by her daughter, Tracey Tibbetts, of Naples; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Gabrielle Ball; sister, Sandy Eldridge, of Naples; brother, Gary Cossar, of South Paris; and brother, James Cossar, of West Paris. She is also survived by four nieces; one nephew; seven great-nephews; and one great-niece.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 8 at her daughter’s home from 1 to 5 p.m.
