CENTER LOVELL — Renee Louise Guillet Dutton, 90, of Center Lovell, passed away June 2, 2014, at her home after a brief illness.

Mrs. Dutton was born April 21, 1924, in Boston, Mass.

Mrs. Dutton graduated from high school in Foxboro, Mass., where she was involved in many activities and was their Drum Majorette. Her husband became an officer in the Army Air Corps at the beginning of WWII, which began a long saga of moving her family from base to base for many years including through the Korean and Vietnam wars. Her numerous transfers had her living in at least 10 states, and of those some were multiple stays.

She moved to Maine from New Hampshire in the early 1970s, having family connections there since the early 1940s. Renee started Kezar Lake Handcrafters and later successfully ran Dutton Real Estate until 1997, and continued her involvement until she retired at the age of 83. She devoted time to Lovell causes and projects and held offices at the Library and Lovell Historical Society, in addition to being a Church Elder.

She was predeceased by her parents George and Louise Guillet; and her husband of 53 years, Oliver F. Dutton; a son Daniel Dutton; and a sister Marguarite Schwartz.

She is survived by five children, Oliver J. of North Lovell; Diana R. of Boston, Mass.; Randie L. of Troy, N.H.; Mark W. of Lovell; and Todd D. of Topsham. She is also survived two sisters, Roberta Atkinson of Damariscotta, and Nancy Lowe of Topsail, N.C.; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held, Friday, June 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 9 Warren Street, Fryeburg, Maine. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 7, at the Lovell United Church of Christ. Burial will be in #4 Cemetery, Lovell.
