Rebecca M. Quimby, 69

LIMINGTON — Rebecca “Becky” M. Quimby, 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2014, at her home in Limington.

She was born in Portland on Feb. 5, 1945, the daughter of the late Lorimer and Avis (Conant) Herrick. Becky attended grammar school in Portland and graduated from Portland High School.

She worked at several places over the years including the Hanold Co., General Electric in Standish, Fresh Samantha, and most recently was working as an elder care provider.

Becky was an avid outdoors enthusiast and especially enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling, gardening, and camping. She will also be remembered for the enjoyment she had playing cards and living life to it's fullest with friends and family.

Becky volunteered at Preble Street Resources in Portland.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Roland, Duane Sr. and Stephen Herrick.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 22 years, Steve Quimby; sister, Dee Parvin of Las Vegas, Nev.; stepchildren, Steven Quimby of Gray, Adam Quimby of Old Orchard Beach and Tammy Quimby of Raymond; and a stepgrandchild.

A graveside service will be held on Friday evening, July 4, at 5 p.m., at Hillcrest Cemetery, Plains Road in Hollis.
