Randall A. Weaver

AUBURN — Randall A. “Randy” Weaver, 46, a longtime Lewiston resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at The Hospice House with family at his side.

He was born in Damariscotta, Aug. 5, 1965, the son of Ronald E. Weaver and Sylvia Lane. He was educated in Fairfield schools and had been a Lewiston resident since he was in his late teens.

Randy always had a keen interest in politics and for a number of years was very active in the Democratic Party, especially at the state level. He was also very active in fostering knowledge about AIDS/HIV. He was a lifetime avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and loved animals, as he always enjoyed the company of his two cats, Kit Kat and Tigger. Randy was a loving son, brother and uncle with a big heart, who will be dearly missed by family and friends.

He leaves his mother, Sylvia Lane of Livermore; his brother, Michael Weaver of Livermore; his sister, Melissa Rizer of Casco; a nephew; three nieces; and several cousins.

Randy was predeceased by a brother, Mark Weaver, in 1989.

A celebration of Randy’s life took place at the funeral home on Sunday, Jan. 22. Arrangements were by The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Service, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston.
