FRYEBURG — Elizabeth Grzyb is a “natural” runner, Fryeburg Academy cross-country coach Bill Reilly says.

“Elizabeth has great core strength for a freshman,” he said. “She has made every practice and shows great commitment. I believe she has the desire to want to compete at the highest level in Maine cross-country running.”

This season, Elizabeth has emerged as one of the Raider’s top runners, steadily pressuring some of the more experienced competitors in Class B West.

In recognition of her strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Elizabeth is this week’s Raider Boosters Club “Player of the Week.”

Each week, a Fryeburg Academy athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed T-shirt, sponsored by the Raider Boosters Club.
