Rachel Boivin

GORHAM — Rachel Mary Boivin, 74, died Saturday, June 23, 2018, at her home in Gorham.

She was born Sept. 16, 1943, in Westbrook the daughter of Laurent and Lillian (Gouzie) Boivin.

Rachel grew up in Gorham and was a 1962 graduate of Gorham High School. She retired from Fairchild Semiconductor in 2001 following decades of service.

She will be remembered as a feisty, loyal, nurturing caretaker who always put her family first.

In addition to her parents, Rachel was predeceased by her sister, Arlene Webster; and brother, Paul Boivin.

She is survived by her siblings, Gerard Boivin of Portland, Leo Boivin of Westbrook, Loretta Rojek of Buxton, Anne Kenny of Westbrook, David Boivin of Gorham, Lucille Young of Pine Island, Fla., Margaret Edwards of Conway, N.H., Susan McCabe of Brunswick, Louise Coleman of Sebago, Anthony Boivin of Gorham and Jeanne Darcy of Buxton; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours were held Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Westbrook chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, June 28, at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, 35 Brown Street, Westbrook. Burial will follow at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Stroudwater Street, Westbrook.
