When the Lake Region cheerleading squad needed someone to break the ice — bring a number of new faces together as one unit — senior Tianah Fisher stepped forward.
“Tianah is the only senior on the fall varsity cheerleading squad. She is one of the captains and does a great job demonstrating leadership,” Coach Kaitlyn Hall said. “Tianah was very helpful at the beginning of the season when we really needed some team bonding to take place. Our team is very young and most of the girls didn’t know each other before the season started. It’s safe to say that we are now a ‘cheering family’ and I can thank Tianah for a lot of that.”
Coach Hall says Tianah “truly stands out as a leader on our squad and I am blessed to of had the opportunity to get to know her as well as I have.”
In recognition of her strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Tianah is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed T-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
