Player of the Week: Paul Walker

Paul Walker

Senior guard Paul Walker is quiet, but he is “always doing the right thing.”

“Paul has been very consistent this year for us. He comes off the bench and plays great defense and does not turn the ball over on offense. Paul comes to practice every day and works hard. All his hard work has paid off. It was great to see him get hot and hit those four 3s at Wells. They were all big shots that kept us in the game,” Lake Region varsity boys’ basketball coach John Mayo said. “It has been exciting to watch him grow as a player and a person over the years. It is a pleasure to coach him.”

In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Paul is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.”

Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
