Player of the week: Elisabeth Waugh

SP 17 elisabeth waughElisabeth Waugh handles herself on the tennis court with poise and sportsmanship, always with a smile on her face.

As Lake Region’s second singles player, Elisabeth has shown great improvement this year and is always striving to get better, according to varsity tennis coach Kim Peterson.

“Elisabeth doesn't give up. There are times when she makes shots that are near impossible to get,” Coach Peterson said. “Elisabeth is a smart player, taking control of a match and staying on the offensive as she earns many points.”

In recognition of her strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Elisabeth is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
