Player of the Week: Dakota Stover

Dakota Stover

Dakota Stover

Dakota Stover is just a freshman, but he had a great impact on the Lake Region track & field team this spring.

“He was the only male scorer at the conference championships, placing in the high jump and long jump,” Laker Coach Mark Snow said.  “He competed at the state championships in the high jump. Dakota also placed well in his events at the freshmen championship meet. He is very coachable and welcomes criticism.  We anticipate he will be a main cog in a successful boys team over the next few years.”

In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Dakota is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
