Chase Weese

As a freshman, Chase Weese has earned his spot on the Lake Region varsity baseball team with strong defensive play along with a strong showing with the bat.

“Chase is batting in the lead off spot and doing a great job,” Lake Region Head Coach Randy Heath said. “He’s playing a solid second base. With Gunner Harriman at short and Chase at second, it’s a solid middle infield. Chase is the kid you wish for — the want to win is easy to see. We love that about him. He’s going to be something to see in three years when he is a senior.”

In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Chase is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed T-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
