Player of the Week: Casey Wentworth

SP 17 casey wentworthCoaches like to see athletes steadily improve as a season moves along.

Lake Region varsity cheerleading coach Samantha Scarf saw sophomore Casey Wentworth make big strides this fall.

“Being new to the team can be hard, but Casey found her place and improved greatly from the beginning of the season,” Coach Scarf said. “She is a hard worker and I can count on her to be at every practice ready to work. She has so much potential. I cannot wait to see what kind of athlete and person she will become.”

In recognition of her strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Casey is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
