Brittany Perreault

It didn’t take long for new Lake Region varsity winter cheerleading coach Kaitlyn Hall to discover that senior captain Brittany Perreault is not your typical cheerleader.
“This is my first season coaching Brittany, but in a very short period of time I could tell that Britt was not your typical cheerleader. She is extremely talented and a true leader,” Coach Hall said. “I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season has in store for us.”
In recognition of her strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Brittany is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed T-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.

Q. Best piece of advice you have received? “Life is short, eat dessert first,” — best guidance counselor, Whitney Nelson.
Q. Who is your biggest fan? Rachel Stofflet because she supports me in everything I do.
Q. I know I have had a good sports day when…I know I’ve tried my best and give it 110%.
Q. What is your favorite sport? My favorite sport is softball because no matter if we win or lose, we still have fun with it.
Q. If I could change one thing about myself as an athlete, I would change…push myself harder to make myself do one more thing before ending practice. Also to help out other athletes if they need work on a few things.
Q. What qualities make for a good teammate and whom do you consider a good teammate? I consider Kasey Wentworth, my co-captain, to be a great teammate because she is always reliable and comes to every practice. She shows other people how to be a leader and she is just an overall great person.
Q. What do you believe you bring to your team? I believe I bring leadership and understanding to my team. If someone is new to the sport and needs more assistance, I am willing to help them along.
Q. What characteristics do you feel make for a good coach? A coach should be able to be understanding, but still be hard on you to give you an extra push to succeed.
