Player of the Week: Ben Roy

Ben Roy

Ben Roy

Ben Roy is one of the hardest workers on the Lake Region varsity cross-country team and is a leader by example.

The LR senior is a captain and a four-year member of the cross-country program.

“Ben strives for individual improvement at practice and sets a good example for his teammates (boys and girls),” Laker Coach Dan Dors said. “He is a person of great responsibility and always does what is expected of him.”

Ben is the true student athlete, Coach Dors added.

“We are expecting Ben to have a very good year,” the coach said. “A great person to coach.”

In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Ben is this week’s Boosters Club and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
