Player of the Week: Aldi Guzja

By Wayne E. Rivet
Staff Writer

Aldi Guzja started practicing with the Lake Region indoor track team to increase his physical fitness.

“He has turned out to be one of the most positive influences on our team. He encourages his teammates in practice by giving them that little nudge or inspiration they need,” said LR Coach Mark Snow. “Aldi has impressed me with his determination, sportsmanship and camaraderie. He has been willing to try new events or step in on the relay when the team needed him. I am glad Aldi came out for indoor track and field. The team has benefitted from his presence greatly.”

In recognition of his strong work ethic, determination, commitment and good sportsmanship, Aldi is this week’s Boosters and Hancock Lumber “Player of the Week.” Each week, a Lake Region athlete is recognized for his/her dedication (does more than what is asked), work ethic, coachability and academic good standing. Recipients receive a specially-designed t-shirt, sponsored by Hancock Lumber.
