AUBURN — Philip C. “Dusty” Roberts, 65, of Dixfield, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at the Hospice House in Auburn.

He was born in North Conway, N.H., on Sept. 16, 1949, the son of Harry and June (Quincy) Roberts Sr., and had attended schools in Fryeburg and Beverly, Mass.

Phil worked at the Rumford Paper Mill and on the Clothes Pin Line at Diamond International in Dixfield. 
He was a former member and Past King Lion of the Dixfield Lions Club and a very active member of the Dixfield Congregational Church. He loved to cook and was always entertaining family and friends. He enjoyed playing cards, woodworking and loved a good joke. He loved spending time with his family, especially attending the family reunions. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Phil was married in West Peru, on June 29, 1974, to the former Wanda J. Hodge, who died May 11, 1999.

Survivors include his daughter Sara Jane Roberts of Mexico; three grandchildren; sisters Carolyn Libby of Somersworth, N.H. and Aloha Kelley of Glen, N.H.; brothers Roger Roberts, Harry Roberts Jr. and Jeff Roberts, all of Lovell, and Ike Roberts of North Fryeburg; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife Wanda, and son Adam.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at the Dixfield Congregational Church, High Street, Dixfield, with Rev. John Gensel officiating. Interment will be at the Demerritt Cemetery, West Peru. Friends are invited to call at the church after 10 a.m. Monday, prior to the funeral.

Memorial services will be conducted at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at the North Fryeburg Community Chapel, Intersection of Route 113 and Fish Street, North Fryeburg, with Pastor Louise Maillett officiating.
