Paul C. Walker, 82

Paul C. Walker, 82, died from a long illness on Sept. 26, 2012 in Bridgton. Born April 20, 1930, to Paul W. and Naomie Walker, he graduated from Bridgton High School and two years at Bates College in Lewiston. Paul married Janice Walker April 1, 1962.

Paul worked for Pleasant Mountain Moc of Bridgton for 27 years before retiring.

He belonged to the NCHA and was also a member of the Bridgton Highlands Golf Club for many years and the Easy Riders snowmobile club. Golfing being his favorite, he loved all sports. Paul won the Bridgton Highlands Club championship four times. He also enjoyed family gatherings, camping, reading and music, playing games and cards with friends and family and playing the organ on special occasions. In his younger years he enjoyed working on stock cars and going snowmobiling. He and Jan wintered in Florida after retirement.

Paul was a member of the Bridgton United Methodist Church.

Paul is survived by his wife Jan; daughters Charlotte and husband Kevin Irish of Gray, Patti and husband Jerry Tuttle of Bridgton, sons Darryll and wife Tammy of Florida, Cliff and wife Karrie of Bridgton; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother Ken and wife Arlene Walker; father-in-law Raymond Gould; and sister-in-law Donna Gould.

A private family service was held at his home with Rev. Cathy Cantin and Rick Jackson officiating.
