Patricia Pettinato

DENMARK — Patricia D. Pettinato, 77, passed away on July 1, 2014, in Melbourne, Fla. A longtime summer and weekend visitor to Moose Pond and Pleasant Mountain, Pat became a year-round Denmark resident in the 1970s through mid-1990s.
In Denmark, she met and married Vincent L. Pettinato, who predeceased her in 2003.
She was active in Denmark politics and was a member of the board of appeals. After the couple moved to Florida, the area remained in their hearts, and they returned to Denmark regularly. Pat was also very active in the ministries at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Melbourne, a devoted Girl Scout, and an avid quilter.
Pat was born in Boston to the late Albert John and Mary Agnes (Concannon) Keenan.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Wescott of Windham, Susan Gamboni, Mary and Kathleen “Gig” Moineau; sons, Thomas, James, Philip and Robert Moineau; sisters, Mary Hart and Peggy Sheridan; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside burial service will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at L.A. Barre Cemetery, Denmark. We will commit Pat’s physical remains to rest, but her generosity, love, humor, and good counsel will be with us always.
The family requests that any memorial donations be made to the Congregation of Holy Cross, Office of Development, 500 Washington Street, North Easton, MA 02356-1299 or The Children’s Hunger Project, 2087 Sarno Rd., Melbourne, FL 32935.
