Patricia A. Ramsay

LEWISTON — Patricia A. Ramsay, 73, of Greene, died Saturday, Oct. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center with her family by her side.

She was born June 23, 1937, in Bridgton, a daughter of Merle R. and Vivian H. (Gordon) Reynolds. She was educated in Bridgton and graduated from Bridgton High School, Class of 1955. She also attended the Burdette School of Business in Boston, Mass., graduating in 1956. On June 16, 1957, she married Clayton W. Ramsay Jr. and together raised their family.

Patricia worked for many years at Down East Energy as an office clerk and had owned and operated the Center Market in Lisbon Center for many years. She was a member of the Lisbon School Board and was a registrar for the Town of Lisbon. She was a longtime member of the Lisbon United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 11 of Lisbon Falls.

Patricia was an avid reader and enjoyed spending free time with a book. She also enjoyed her “Soap Operas” and watching the Game Show Network.

Survivors include three sons, Scott C. of Lisbon Falls, Mark D. Ramsay of Turner and Jonathan M. Ramsay of Greene; a daughter, Denise E. Carlisle of Bowdoin; two sisters, Arlene E. Walker of Bridgton and Marilynn I. Hill of Bridgton; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2005; a daughter, Carol A. Ramsay in 1965; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.

Visiting hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Crosman Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Lisbon Falls. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street, Lisbon Falls. Interment will follow in Lunt Cemetery, Brunswick.
