BRIDGTON — Patricia Jane (Hebb) Douglass, 70, passed away peacefully at her home on May 11, 2009, following a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
She was born in Portland, Maine, the daughter of Dr. Henry S. and June L. Hebb, on August 27, 1938.
Patsy grew up in Bridgton attending local schools and graduated from Bridgton High School. She briefly attended Gorham State Teachers College, before her marriage to Everett Douglass. They built their own home together and started their own family having a son, Eric Douglass.
During her early years, she and her husband owned a laundromat where she worked for many years. Later on, she worked for Good Neighbors doing what she did best, helping people who were physically and mentally challenged.

Perhaps her sponsorship of poor children through “World Vision” most exemplified her true spirit.
