Now, Kate Hall is officially a Cyclone

Kate Hall of Casco is now "officially" a Cyclone.

The Lake Region senior Tuesday signed her National Letter of Intent to attend Division I Iowa State University in the fall of 2015 on a full athletic scholarship. Prior to the signing, Kate was interviewed "live" by WGME sports anchor Dave Eid, and discussed why she chose Iowa State. Described as the "most decorated" track athlete in Maine, Kate is a 20-time state champion, three-time New England champion and four-time All American. During the "celebration," Kate met William Warren, a local resident and 1977 graduate of Iowa State. Warren read Kate's interview with The News prior to the letter signing, and decided to attend the ceremony. He revealed that rather than make his annual donation to the Iowa State alumni fund, he had instead made arrangements with the college's book store to provide funds to help purchase books. Sitting at the head table with Kate were LR Athletic Director Paul True, LR varsity track & field coach Mark Snow, Kate's personal trainer Chris Pribish, and Kate's dad, Eric Hall. (Rivet Photos)
