Ninth District Court – September 3 through 9, 2010

The following matters were taken up in Ninth District Court in Bridgton from September 3 through 9, 2010:

William Barton, 61, of Westborough, Mass., was found guilty of fishing without a valid fishing license on Aug. 6, 2010 in Denmark and was fined $100.

Jason E. Basnett, 37, of Pelham, N.H., was found guilty of operating a motorized watercraft at greater than headway speed on July 18, 2010 in Denmark and was fined $100.

Sarah Betters, 22, of Abington, Mass., was found guilty of possession of fireworks on June 26, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $50.

Troy A. Cobb, 26, of South Portland, was found guilty of operating a watercraft without safety equipment on July 3, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $100.

Daniel W. Ford, 41, of Baldwin, was found guilty of cultivating marijuana on Nov. 30, 2009 in Baldwin and was fined $400.

Julie A. Magyar, 19, of Attleboro, Mass., was found guilty of being a minor possessing liquor on Aug. 28, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $200.

David E. Micu, 19, of Bedford, Mass., was found guilty of fishing without a valid fishing license on July 3, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $100.

Terry L. Richardson, 63, of Nashua, N.H., paid a $100 fine by waiver for operating a watercraft without safety equipment on July 15, 2010 in Fryeburg.

Steven Albert Staples, 28, of Stoughton, Mass., was found guilty of failing to display a lake and river protection sticker on Aug. 8, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $100.

David F. Stone, 41, of Quincy, Mass., was found guilty of operating a watercraft without safety equipment on July 15, 2010 in Lovell and was fined $200.
