Ninth District Court – October 1 through 7, 2010

The following matters were taken up in Ninth District Court in Bridgton from October 1 through 7, 2010:

Daniel A. Boyd, 22, of Groton, Mass., was found guilty of operating a watercraft without safety equipment on Aug. 28, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $100.

Sean P. Fortier, 19, of Alstead, N.H., was found guilty of being a minor possessing liquor on Aug. 8, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $200.

Madeline M. Gauthier, 20, of Braintree, Mass., was found guilty of being a minor possessing liquor on Aug. 1, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $200.

Deborah Haas-Wilson, 55, of Longmeadow, Mass., was found guilty of operating or permitting the operation of an unregistered motorboat on Aug. 26, 2010 in Naples and was fined $100.

Wesley E. Hewey, 56, of Brooks, had a charge of failing to comply with the Maine Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (first offense) on July 9, 2010 in Lovell transferred to Oxford County Superior Court in Paris to be scheduled for a trial by jury.

Nicholas J. Ives, 21, of Bridgewater, Mass., was found guilty of being a minor possessing liquor on Aug. 14, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $250.

Glenn R. Jette, 48, of Fryeburg, was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant on Dec. 19, 2009 in Fryeburg and was sentenced to serve 96 hours in the Androscoggin County Jail, fined $500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 90 days.

Bruce Johnson, 49, of Reading, Mass., was found guilty of operating a motorized watercraft at greater than headway speed on July 17, 2010 in Denmark and was fined $150.

Derek Kikstra, 55, of Calgary, Ontario, Canada, paid a $750 fine by waiver for a Commercial Motor Vehicle rule violation (operating with a false duty record) on March 19, 2003 in Naples.

Jacob T. Kress, 18, of Bellingham, Mass., was found guilty of operating a watercraft without safety equipment on Aug. 22, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $100.

Todd Kritzer, 43, of South Portland, was found guilty of allowing a minor to operate a personal watercraft in violation of state law on Aug. 29, 2010 in Denmark and was fined $100.

Phillip E. LaTraverse, 49, of Hampton, N.H., was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle without a driver’s license on Oct. 2, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $500. As the result of a plea agreement, LaTraverse had a charge of violating a condition of release on the same date in Fryeburg dismissed, in exchange for his guilty plea to the charge listed above.

Kurt S. McCue, 19, of Woburn, Mass., was found guilty of possession of up to one and one-quarter ounces of marijuana on Aug. 13, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $350.

Jeffrey R. Morgan, 25, of Foxborough, Mass., was found guilty of importing malt liquor or wine on Aug. 13, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $200.

Stephen T. Murphy, 24, of Boston, Mass., was found guilty of drinking in public on Aug. 8, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $50.

John K. Peterson, 19, of Halifax, Mass., was found guilty of operating a motorboat while under age (prior convictions) on July 31, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $100.

Christopher R. Ruocchio, 19, of Medford, Mass., was found guilty of being a minor possessing liquor on Sept. 4, 2010 in Bridgton and was fined $200.

Jeremy Irvin Soper, 21, of Sabattus, was found guilty of violating a condition of release on Oct. 2, 2010 in Fryeburg and was sentenced to serve 24 hours in the Oxford County Jail. Soper was found guilty of operating a motor vehicle while his driver’s license was suspended or revoked on the same date in Fryeburg and was fined $250. As the result of a plea agreement, Soper had a charge of displaying a suspended driver’s license on the same date in Fryeburg dismissed, in exchange for his guilty plea to the charges listed above.

Jeanette Spencer, 20, no hometown listed, was found guilty of operating a watercraft without safety equipment on Aug. 22, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $100.

Erric W. Stack, 29, of Windham, had a charge of domestic violence assault on July 21, 2010 in Lovell transferred to Oxford County Superior Court in Paris to be scheduled for a trial by jury.

Modesto E. Walenzuela-Tejed, 38, of Lowell, Mass., was found guilty of fishing without a valid fishing license on Sept. 5, 2010 in Naples and was fined $100.

Stephen Duffy Walsh, 21, of Westwood, Mass., was found guilty of possession of fireworks on Aug. 6, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $50.

Eric Michael Wojtas, 36, of Weare, N.H., was found guilty of drinking in public on July 31, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $50.

Catherine E. Zubkus, 20, of Dover, N.H., was found guilty of being a minor possessing liquor on Aug. 6, 2010 in Fryeburg and was fined $250.
