CASCO — Neil E. Carolan of Casco died Tuesday evening, Dec. 18, 2012 at his home.

He was born in Chelsea, Mass., a son of Joseph and Elizabeth Carolan. He graduated from high school in 1962 prior to attending Northeastern University, as well as the University of Maine.

He served for four years in the U.S. Air Force. Neil also received training in repairing video relay equipment. Neil was employed by Dielectric for 32 years, Mega Industries for three years and also worked part-time at the Train Shop in South Casco. For 31 years, he was a volunteer on the Casco Fire Department. Neil was a member of the Casco Village United Church of Christ for 15 years. He enjoyed fly-fishing for most all his life.

Surviving are three brothers, Kevin Carolan of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Joseph Carolan of Sierra Vista, Ariz. and Robert Carolan of Chelsea, Mass.; his significant other, Catherine Dean of Malden, Mass.; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Casco Village United Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Hall Funeral Home, Casco.
