BREWER — Nancy Hogan, 78, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016 at a Bangor hospital, after a brief illness.

She was born in Bridgton, on Jan. 7, 1938, a daughter of Cecil and Genevieve (Denning) Hogan.

Nancy attended grammar school and graduated from high school in Bridgton. She earned a bachelor’s degree in education from St. Joseph’s College, Windham, and a master’s degree from Columbia University in N.Y. City.

Nancy was a well-liked and respected professor at Husson College for a number of years. She then became office manager and general manager for Winters Associates Ltd., an international management consulting firm, for over 30 years.

Nancy loved to read, particularly American history, and travel to her favorite places like Ireland, the Hebrides Islands off Scotland and South Africa. She loved animals and maintained a collection of elephants, giraffes, zebras, leopards and lions. Nancy was known to many for her generosity, wit, humor, competence and conservative politics.

She was predeceased by her parents.

Surviving are her dear friend, Kenneth Winters and family.

Private interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Bridgton.
