Nancy LaCasce

Nancy G. LaCasce, 86, of Waterville, died Saturday, April 22, 2017 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Nancy was born in the summer of 1930, one of five children born to Ralph W. and Ruth Gale Hill of Fryeburg. Her early years were spent in West Fryeburg, graduating from Fryeburg Academy in 1948. She continued her education at Westbrook Junior College, graduating in 1950. Later that year, she married C. Richard LaCasce, also of Fryeburg, who was her faithful husband for over 66 years.

Nancy lived in Maine for almost all her life. Besides Fryeburg, she resided in Portland, Norway, Hallowell and Waterville. For most of her life, she lived in Farmingdale. She worked for many years for the Maine Department of Inland Fish and Wildlife, retiring in 1990.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents and siblings.

She leaves behind her husband, C. Richard; two children, Reva LaCasce Merrill of Anson and Thomas LaCasce of Claremont, N.H.; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
