Michael S. Parker

Michael Parker

Michael Sawtell Parker, 56, died at his home in Sebago after many years of illness.

Mike was born on a military base in Izmir, Turkey. Mike followed in his family’s military footsteps and joined the Air National Guard in 1982. While serving his time in the Guard, he joined the workforce and started his own family.

He was a very generous man. He always wanted to help others and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a wise cracker and always had an inappropriate comment to make which brought joy to the people around him. Mike was always seen with a smile on his face, a beer in his hand and his dog by his side.

Mike loved the outdoors; spending his time ice fishing, floating the river with friends, and caring for his extensive gardens that he loved to watch grow. When he was able, he enjoyed cruisin’ around on his motorcycle.

He is survived by his daughter Kati Parker of New Sharon, son-in-law Ashley, and his grandson Jasper who he adored more than anything else in the world. He is also survived by his mother Patti Parker of Bridgton, brother Chris Parker and wife, Carla of Sebago, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Dakota.

He was predeceased by his father Abraham Parker.

A memorial service will be held at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Harvest Hills Animal Shelter or your local food pantry.
