Michael Martin

SACO — Michael E. Martin, 62, of Saco, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2015, at his home.

He was born in Portland, on Aug. 14, 1952, the son of Edward and Beverly Parsons Martin. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School in 1970 and enjoyed working in group homes for adults with disabilities.

He married Sharon Crowley in July of 2000. He loved fishing and hunting with his best friend Bones and his Uncle Jr., and rabbit hunting with his beagle, Dingle. He loved the outdoors and his hometown of Harrison.

He is survived by his wife of Saco; his mother of Harrison; a sister, Nancy Hudson and her husband Henry of Harrison; several stepchildren and their families; two children, Kim and Dan and their families; two nieces, Jenny Record and her fiancé Casey of Harrison, and Linsey Record and her fiancé Alison of South Paris; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father and his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 16 at 2 p.m., at the United Parish Congregational Church of Harrison and North Bridgton, with interment to follow at Harrison Village Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Harrison Recreation Dept. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 8 Elm St., Bridgton.
