NEW GLOUCESTER — Michael David Stevenson, 52, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 1, 2017.

Born in Portland on Dec. 6, 1964, he was the son of the late Vernon Arthur Stevenson Sr., and Claudia A. Morin and her partner Walter Starkey.

Mike graduated from Falmouth High School in 1984, where he ran track. Mike was a hardworker, working for Tri-State Insulation as a lead foreman for 14 years.

Mike had a heart of gold. Mike was an outgoing adventurist. He loved the outdoors and nature. He spent much of his time off hiking, camping, kayaking, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, cooking and gardening; and visiting every state park in Maine. His favorite places were Grafton Notch and Popham Beach.

He loved and enjoyed his family, always bringing one of his many “Famous Dishes.”

He was predeceased by his stepdad, Richard Morin.

Mike is survived by and will be forever loved and remembered by his children, Dylan Stevenson of Lewiston, Beau Stevenson of New Bedford, Mass., and Brooke Stevenson of Lewiston; sister, Terri Aaskov of Falmouth; brother, Vern Stevenson of Raymond; sister, Lori Crawford of Falmouth; twin brother, Jeffrey Stevenson of North Yarmouth; three nieces and three nephews.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday, April 7, with a remembrance service at 4 p.m. Both celebrations are at the Wilson Funeral Home, 24 Shaker Road in Gray.
