Merrill L. Lawrence Jr., 82, of Bridgton, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012  at Bridgton Hospital.

He was born in New York City, New York on Dec. 25, 1929, the son of Merrill L. Lawrence Sr. and Dorothy Seavey Lawrence. He faithfully served in the U.S. Marines. He graduated from Carlton College and had owned and operated “Travel Solutions” Travel Agency from 1982 to 2000. He married Anne Richards in Oct. of 1954. He was a member of the First Congregational Church, where he was active in the choir and Bible study group.

He is survived by a son, M. Locke Lawrence; two daughters, Julie Lawrence and Sallie Lawrence; and two grandchildren, Anina and Jakob.

He was predeceased by his wife Anne.
