Memorial Day events

• Fryeburg/Lovell — The Fryeburg/Lovell VFW will hold a Memorial Day service at the Lovell Veterans Monument on Monday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m.

The annual Fryeburg Memorial Day Parade will be held on Monday, May 30 at 1 p.m. The parade starts at the Legion building on Bradley Street and goes to Bradley Memorial Park, where a service will be held.

• Stoneham — Memorial Day Breakfast, 7 to 10 a.m., Sunday, May 29, Rescue Barn, Butters Hill Road. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, plain/blueberry pancakes, coffee, orange juice. Adults $5, under 10 $2.50.

• Harrison — Memorial Day Breakfast, 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 28, United Parish Congregational Church, across from Crystal Lake Park. Scrambled eggs, homemade pancakes, sausage, home fries, fresh fruit, homemade coffee cakes, orange juice, coffee and tea, served buffet-style. Donations appreciated.

The annual Memorial Day Parade begins at 9 a.m. and forms at the church. The Oxford Hills Middle School Band will play and the “Walk of Honor” will be unveiled at the Memorial Common in front of the library. A church service will follow the parade, with guest speaker John E. diPretoro, LCDR USN (Ret).

• South Paris — The Western Maine Veterans Advisory Committee will present a Memorial Day Service on Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. at the Maine Veterans’ Home, 477 High Street, South Paris. The guest speaker will be Timothy Churchill, CEO of Stephens Memorial Hospital. A roll call will be done of all facility residents who have passed away over the year. Refreshments will be served and tours of the facility will be available. For more information, call 743-6300.

• Sebago — A Memorial Day Service will be held on Monday, May 30 at 11:30 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Park in East Sebago. The Sebago Lions Club will march with the Lake Region High School Band and school groups to the park, where there will be a program and songs. Coffee and donuts will be served.

• Casco/Naples/Raymond — Memorial Day services will be held by the American Legion Post #155, Casco/Naples/Raymond, on Monday, May 30 at 9 a.m. at the Casco Monument, next to the Casco Town Office, followed by a service at 11 a.m. at the Naples Town Office and a 1 p.m. service at the Raymond Town Office, corner of Routes 302 and 85.
