Mary Irwin

CHELMSFORD, MASS. — Mary (Flint) Irwin, 89, of Chelmsford, Mass., passed away at the Atrium at Drum Hill on Monday, July 9, 2012.

She was the daughter of the late Donald T. and Helen Flint and the wife of the late Donald K. Irwin.

Mary was born in Skowhegan and lived in Lexington, Mass., for the majority of her life. In Lexington, she was one of the founders of the Pilgrim Congregational Church, where she stayed very active over the years.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Meredith Perry of Westford, Mass. and Margaritt McNulty of Standish; a brother, Walter Flint of West Baldwin; two sisters, Elizabeth Hilton of Waldoboro and Margaret Brown of Washington state; and five grandchildren including Elizabeth Irwin of Bridgton.

She was predeceased by a son, James D. Irwin; a brother, Thomas Flint; and a grandson.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 14, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Lexington, Mass., at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the J.A. Healy Sons Funeral Home, Westford, Mass.
