Mary I. Szatkowski

RAYMOND — Mary I. (Cisek) Szatkowski, 99, of Raymond, formerly of Stoneville, N.C. and East Windsor, Conn. died Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Ludlow, Mass. on Dec. 29, 1912. Mary was a longtime resident of the Warehouse Point, East Windsor, Conn., and was an employee at Pratt and Whitney, where she worked as a clerical worker in the records department for many years. She resided in Connecticut for most of her life before moving to Stoneville, N.C. for 10 years to be near family. Most recently, she resided with her grandson, Paul, in Raymond, for the last two months.

Mrs. Szatkowski enjoyed rug hooking and was a member of the Association of Traditional Hooking Artists. She also enjoyed gardening, polka music and painting.

She is survived by her four grandchildren, including Paul Szatkowski of Raymond, and three great-grandchildren.
Mary was predeceased by her parents; her children, Robert C. Szatkowski, Lois Phyllis Therian and a son who died during childhood; a grandson.
